Hello!! Welcome back!!

It’s been awhile since I’ve given an update on here but I have a lot to share with you!!!

It’s been just over a month being back in America, and to be honest, it’s been better than I thought. Adjustment at first is hard, but the Lord has been so kind and patient. His faithfulness is steadfast.

I’ve been leaning on God to bring me into a community here again and He brought me the sweetest women’s group of women of all ages and backgrounds and stories. A couple weeks ago we were going over the previous Sunday sermon on Matthew 7:13-14.

How do we stay on the narrow path:

First, accept that it’s never going to happen perfectly.

Second, accept that you will mess up and make mistakes.

Third, accept that the only way to stay on the path is to rely on God to help you.

We talked about how hard it is to stay on the path and how easy it is to sin. Also how it can often look like there’s just a lot of things you can’t do while on the path. Does this cause you to fall off the path or did you just take a short detour? But when I pondered the question, “how do we stay on the path?” I began to realize that we can walk the narrow path and still make mistakes because we are human. We are not perfect; I am not perfect. It is a broken world, and we are broken people. But walking His path leads to life. Jesus came to bring life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). Walking along the narrow path with God is to have a narrow focus, a focus of just keeping your eyes on God. To not look to this side or that side of a wider path of worldliness which is easy but leads to destruction. But to keep your gaze so focused on God that you can walk the difficult narrow path because He is guiding you.

I’ve been learning a lot about what it looks like to keep my eyes on Him. It’s been a sweet season of growing closer and closer in intimacy with God. His faithfulness and goodness is more apparent. My trust in Him has grown. I can hear His voice more clearly. I am walking in more freedom from guilt, shame, and anxiety. I feel rested, both spiritually and emotionally. He wants us to lay down our burdens and trust Him. And He is calling us to sit at His feet and allow Him to love us.

While I am excited to be home, the Lord is calling me to continue to work with Him. SO I am excited to announce that I will be continuing with Adventures in Missions to love and serve the nations. This time I have been offered a position as a squad leader for GAP YEAR! At the end of August, I will return to Adventures in Missions in Georgia for leader training then the squad will arrive at the beginning of September!! I’m both excited and nervous, but I have vowed to God that I will never let fear control my “yes” to Him. So despite being a bit nervous, I am following what God has for me this next season!!

This trip will be a bit different than my last ones. Gap Year is a program similar to the World Race, which I finished last year, and the 10/40 Alumni trip, which I finished this spring. But this trip will be 9 months and I will be leading a smaller team within the larger squad of about 50. These participants range in age from 17-20. My role will be to lead, disciple, encourage, edify, teach, pray, serve, and love those in my team. This program is teaching Gen Z to grow in intimacy with the Father, seek & grow His Kingdom, learn to live in community, and activate them to serve, grow, evangelize, etc. We will be going to Cambodia, Thailand, Eswatini, and Guatemala.

If you’d like to begin to partner with me, prayer is what I ask first!! Please pray for continual reliance on God for everything I need, confidence and boldness to lead with vulnerability, patience and kindness, to edify and encourage my team, to be quick to cast my cares and burdens at His feet and continual refinement of walking down the narrow path to look, love, talk and be more like Jesus, as well as for funding!

Lastly, I am raising $6000 for transportation, lodging, meals, etc. while serving with my team over the next 9 months. Will you pray about partnering with me in donating to God’s Kingdom?

Here is my link to the donation page. https://adventuresinmissions.servicereef.com/events/adventures-in-missions-3/2023-world-race-gap-year-route-3/participants/claraleverich

Feel free to comment or message me with questions or encouragement!! I would greatly appreciate it all and I would love to answer questions and share stories from the past year and a half, as well as catch up on your life too! THANK YOU! GOD BLESS YOU!

Walkin’ in His Spirit,
Clara Grace
