Whom shall I send? Here I am, send me.

Isaiah 6: tcv (the clara version)

And the Lord was there sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up, and His glorious presence filled the room like a thick fog. He was surrounded by angels, those who worshiped Him. Everyone present was singing, “Holy, holy, holy is El Elyon, Jehovah Sabaoth, God Most High the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.”

The foundations trembled at a voice and the house was filled with smoke. I shake with awe and fall to the ground. And I said, “I am unworthy. I am guilty and ashamed. I have done wrong and have had wrong done to me. I live in a broken world amongst broken people. But behold my eyes are opened to see the King, the Lord of Hosts.”

Then with a burning coal from the altar, I am touched on the lips. “Behold,” the angel who held the coal said, “You have been made clean, your guilt and shame have been washed away and your sins atoned. You have been crowned with beauty instead of ashes.”

Then I hear the voice again and I recognize it this time as my Father and He says, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Who will go to tell of this love and atonement? Who will tell of this Kingdom that is near?”

I rise up from the ground and I say, “Here I am, send me, and I will go.”

A few days ago, my team and I did an activity rewriting Isaiah 6 from our own perspectives. This was mine. Even amongst the brokenness and pain, He still calls us and wants us to go and proclaim of the goodness and mercy of His Kingdom.

Quick update:

My team and I finished our time in Kyrgyzstan with a debrief and 5 days of prayer and devotion to the Lord at Lake Issyk-Kul. It was a sweet time of ministering to the Lord and to each other, with prayer, worship, rest, feasting, silence and solitude, community, devotion, teachings, singing and dancing! We left feeling like our cups were filled up and overflowing, a perfect place to be in before continuing on to Jordan.

About a week ago, my whole squad and I flew to the capital of Jordan, Amman! Another place I visited last year on my original race. It feels crazy to be back. Although I’m very happy to be here, it’s been a new challenge.

During the day, we are partnered with an NGO refugee center and have the opportunity to go on house visits. These people come from many surrounding countries. Most are families that have relocated here because of war, but with laws in place that state refugees can’t work here, each family has a list of their different needs. We enter each home to create relationship, continue sharing the Good News and biblical stories, give hope and peace and pray blessing, healing and providence over these people. When we can, we give out coupons for food and whatever has been given to the center gets distributed to these families.

I’m learning so much from these visits. Even with the trauma and pain, most people are so open to hearing the hope and joy we share of the Father. I’ve been able to share my testimony of walking through grief of losing a friend to a mother who is walking through grieving the disconnection from her family in another country. I shared the story of Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi, and Ruth’s devotion to her mother which made the Father have favor on her with a single woman and her daughters living here alone for the past 10 years. I shared the story of David and Goliath and Father’s protection and faithfulness to those who rely on Him with a woman feeing alone and missing her family. I shared the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 with five loaves and two fish and telling of the Father’s providence with a family that has one small girl, the wife is pregnant and the father is injured. And so many more stories and prayers. The Father is working and moving in incredible ways! People are coming to see Jesus for who He is, the King and Lamb of the Father, not just a prophet.

Along with our hosted work doing house visits, we have the opportunity meet people and evangelize at night when shops and restaurants are open and most people are out. It has been incredible to see how the Lord is moving and has been moving here. The people are hungry, both physically and spiritually, and the Father is continually creating opportunities for us to share of the satisfaction and truth that the He gives.

We also been able to visit some historical sites around Jordan, including a Roman Amphitheater, the Citadel, Mount Nebo (where God brought Moses to see the Promised Land), the Jordan River and Jesus’ baptism site, the Dead Sea, and some very old churches. It has been incredible to be back to some places but also see new ones of what you read about in the Bible.

Please continue to join me in prayer:

  1. For my team! 15 of us in one small house, for unity and peace.
  2. For fundraising! This is not just for me, but for the Kingdom. Each donation is added to funds used for meals, lodging, transportation, etc. but also for our interpreters who help us reach those who need the GOOD NEWS from all tribes, tongues and nations. I’m 82% funded! So only $1600 left. Check this link to donate or venmo @clleverich. Donate to Clara Leverich for LEVERICHCLARA 23R01ME SEM – Adventures in Missions (powered by ServiceReef)
  3. For the people we meet! For love, joy, hope, and truth to radiate from us to those we meet and for the Father to soften and prepare the hearts of those we visit.

THANK YOU!! May the Father bless you and keep you and may His face shine upon you!!

Happy Easter!! So thankful that it had to be a Lamb and that He came and died but now He is alive!!
